What makes a design clever, sturdy, and impossible to stop experimenting with? During Inventors in the Wild, students step into the role of inventors and engineers: tackling hands-on challenges that blend creativity, problem-solving, and real-world engineering. Led by a certified educator with over 20 years of experience and a doctorate in education, this small-group enrichment is intentionally designed to move beyond kits and crafts into true design thinking.

Held at Fairview Park, the outdoor setting provides space for big builds, testing, redesigning, and exploration. Across five days, students investigate simple machines, design and construct structures and contraptions, and test their ideas in real-world scenarios surrounded by nature. Through guided challenges, collaboration, and iterative building, campers develop confidence as thinkers and creators and leave with meaningful take-home inventions they designed themselves.

Lunch: Please send a packed lunch for a short, minds-on/hands-off lunch break.

All materials included.

Space is limited to ensure a high-quality, small-group experience with personalized guidance.
